This morning we have a first for RingSpotters – an oval cut engagement ring from a Chicago bride who just celebrated 3 years of wedded bliss. Her husband woke her up in the middle of the night to take her on a surprise weekend road trip from Chicago to Minneapolis, his hometown. He kept her entertained during the 6 hour drive with a scrapbook chronicling their courtship and relationship, and had a beautiful lakeside sunrise proposal perfectly timed upon their arrival, ring and all.
I adore the modern thick setting and which compliments the antique style wedding band so perfectly. And I am loving the contrast of the black surface on the bride’s hand – it brings out the gorgeous detail, the light and the sparkle of the rings!
Cut: Oval, 1.32 Carats
Wedding Band: Tiny Round Brilliants with an etched channel setting
